Volibris is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) functional classes II-III according to the WHO classification. In combination with tadalafil, it is used to reduce the risk of treatment (a composite endpoint including death, hospitalization for PAH, disease progression, and unsatisfactory clinical response) and to improve clinical efficacy and exercise capacity*.

As monotherapy, Volibris should be initiated at a dose of 5 mg once daily. If the 5 mg dose is well tolerated, it can be increased to a maximum daily dose of 10 mg once daily.

When used in combination with tadalafil, the ambrisentan dose should be titrated to 10 mg once daily.
